MediStays offers a customised hospital discharge service for our community of NDIS referrers.
With it’s location close to key hospitals (including Monash Medical Centre and the Kingston Centre), this property provides a trusted solution for participants needing hospital discharge accommodation.
Our team will work closely with you to ensure that the individual needs of your participant align with the environment fostered at MediStays @ Bierman.
Private bedroom suites enable residents to enjoy peaceful time in the privacy of their own room.
Light and spacious communal lounge and dining areas with cathedral ceilings are wonderful spaces for participants and their supports to interact and enjoy each other’s company.
Several adjacent private gardens create a tranquil atmosphere for participants, their supports and visiting family and friends.
MediStays can provide lunch, dinner and dessert on request through the private commercial kitchen.
With this option, simply submit your menu one week in advance, and meals will be delivered onsite.
Support staff can also empower participants to learn new life skills in these kitchen facilities, and help support their transition to SDA.
MediStays confirm your booking when the Service Agreement is signed and funding has been confirmed by the participant’s plan manager.
Property inspections are generally scheduled for Tuesdays between 10am – 3pm.

You may also arrange of OT inspections at the property. Alternatively, comprehensive accessibility assessments have been undertaken by qualified OTs @ Monash Medical Centre.
Our experience has shown that the Assistive Technology (AT) requirements of each participant varies based on their individual accessibility needs.
This furniture and equipment, including hi-lo beds, pressure mattresses, hoists (gantry and mobile) and commodes are assessed and rented by the referring team and Occupational Therapist.
Our team will be onsite for the day of delivery to ensure streamlined arrivals and set-up for your participant.
MediStays @ Bierman includes all standard furniture for participants and supports in the communal living areas.
We recommend that you order and arrange delivery of all Assistive Technology at your earliest convenience.
Depending on availability with your chosen AT provider, delays can sometimes occur that may impact the hospital discharge date for your participant.
We request that all AT and deliveries are made at least one business day prior to your participant’s arrival.
Tuesday and Wednesday deliveries are preferred, where possible.
